Since it is housed in a crowded town availability of space was a major constraint. Within the limited space the designers have marvelously managed to erect this wonderful building. They used every technology which would enable them to mask the possible difficulties of limited space.

Designed for two real estate professionals and their two sons the Jarson Residence by Will Bruder + Partners rises as a quiet and imposing structure from the desert surrounding it. Overlooking the McDowell Mountains to the north east this spectacular dream home is dressed in a skin made of weathered steel and cooper pierced by large glazed areas. The cladding fabricates a strong connection to the surroundings while the glass walls and windows framing the views construct a lighthouse effect during the night when the lights are turned on.

The extremely high ceilings in the living area make a roomy and grandiose statement. The hanging globe lamps accentuate this height even further. The flight of stairs with a landing is neatly placed against a wall that occupies a minimum of space allowing full use of the ground floor without a big visual intrusion.

Main living room is flanked by magnificent sitting room and a spacious dining room. The house is crammed with a range of spectacular furniture carved out of teak and expensive imported woods. You would see spectacularly designed artistic furniture cushions and tables right from the living room to the most oblivious kitchen.

The basic layout for this residence resembles that of the Carl Fisher Estate completed in 1926 broadly split into three sections – main house guest pavilion and service section. The main house is composed of living rooms bedrooms and a glass ventilated area giving an unobstructed view to beautiful large pool and the lagoon lying close to the house.

In the initial phase the architects from Scott Allen have completed 12 spectacular homes all within 2000 square feet to 4000 square feet area. But the site could occupy as many as 75 residential sites. The layout of the residences is marvelous as well as modest and conforms to traditional Pacific design. All units exhibit an aesthetic outlook and have been designed giving priority to utility.

The situated in the historic in South Africa is a remodeled structure of an old 1950s residence.It’s the work of studio Nico Van Der Meulen Architects who have taken utmost care in making this design perfect and complete — making it one of the major attractions of the whole area.
