A beautiful space for the garden has been set aside towards the east of this magnificent residence. Interiors are well furnished in accordance with design suggested by studio OKHA. The residence features a spectacular living area decorated with post-modern kind of furniture and expensive carpets. Corners of wall are smooth-edged and rooms are separated by double thick walls. All elements co-exist here in harmony says a correspondent of OKHA Interiors.
Stretching across an area of 4589 square feet this wonderful two storey building has the main living room as well as the master suite on the second level. This allows you to have a full coverage of the exciting outdoor view. The house is an exemplary example of using wood in house construction.
Just outside the bedroom the swimming pool invites dwellers for a swim from the first morning sun ray and can be used all year round thanks to solar collectors on the roof which heat the water constantly. Sounds pretty much like a vacation retreat right?
The eastern half features an open floor plan with large spaces and a dynamic layout easily accessible from the garage. Here inhabitants benefit from a master suite including a 14-metre long dressing room with fitted wardrobes and a glazed wine cellar. The dining area has ample room for a gathering of guests. The living area can also hold a family reunion.
Flooded by light through the glass side and featuring skylights and round windows the partly hidden structure benefits from a natural glow complimented by a carefully designed lighting system. An old jaguar car lives its second life as a bookshelf in the kitchen.
Though the house looks smaller from the street you could assess it from a significant distance. To know the beauty of wood in construction you should visit this house. Wooden slabs are wonderfully arranged spectacularly painted in superior wood touch. This brings in more elegance to this building.
By choosing a color palette that would compliment the surroundings, the architects dissolved the boundaries between indoors and outdoors and prolonged the dynamic coastline inside. An open floor plan allowed the creation of an L-shaped cooking/living/entertaining zone open to the outside deck and swimming pool. And also check out the Bloom Chair by Kenneth Cobonpuere featured a while back on Decoist – it looks amazing in this house!
